Hortus

I do not know much about flora.
And not a single plant survives in my house.

Yet, when I revisited the Hortus Botanicus in my hometown  I was struck by the rich beauty of this perfectly cultured and ordered piece of nature.

The lush and peaceful  atmosphere of this historical garden (it is one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world) lured me into this photo project.

I noticed spatial correlations between  plants and  architecture.
I experienced time, space and the power of growth and change in species coming from all  hemispheres, contained here in their own climate glasshouses.
